The starting of the tear down consisted of first removing all of the equipment from the room. This included moving the chairs out, all the speakers out and off the walls, taking the projector down, taking the screen down, moving out the sub woofers and moving out the AVR and realted furnature. The outlets also need to have their covers removed followed by the carpet. This is to get ready for the build and painting processes.

There is an existing rear riser built into the house but it is only the depth of a chair and only 7 inches high. So we need to tear this down. There was also an in wall manual heater in which was also removed and that power line being seperate will be used to power seperate over head and stair lights. These would have their own switch. Also as part of this electrical work, moving the existing light switch closer to the door and removing the existing wall mounted speaker. The plan is to move to in wall speaker because having a protruding speaker there makes it difficult to use the stairs. Today, everytime you come into the room you have to reach around that speaker to turn on the lights and this is quite painful.
